Main practice:

Stefan Prechtl has been working in the fields of auditing, tax consultancy and business management consultancy for over 35 years. He prepares and audits annual and consolidated financial statements and assists our clients with statutory and special audits. He also has many years’ experience in auditing both international groups and medium-sized companies. 



Stefan Prechtl advises clients on corporate transactions and restructuring. He also supports medium-sized companies in the areas of corporate taxation, tax structuring, assistance with external tax audits, and the acquisition and sale of shareholdings.

Professional Career:

• Apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at a German technology group, 1978–1980
• Studied Business Administration at the University of Regensburg
• Graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1986
• Worked for an American audit and tax consultancy firm in Munich, 1986–1991
• Passed the tax consultancy examination in 1991
• Tax consultant at an audit and tax consultancy firm in Munich 1991–1994
• Passed the public accountancy examination in 1994
• Partner and member of the management board at an audit and tax consultancy firm in Munich 1994–2009
• Partner at a medium-sized audit and tax consultancy firm in Munich 2009–2022
• Freelance consultant to the firm since 2023 – Off Counsel
